October 31: Our spooky literacy link was Washington Irving's Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Washington Irving was America's first famous storyteller, and his character, Ichabod Crane, is written so you can really imagine him as he tries to escape the headless horseman! Here's the animated version

September 11th--In discussing 9/11 today, we wondered what has been built on the old Twin Towers site. Here is one photo, the transit center where people catch the subway.
